Meetup safety for Buddy sessions & Events
In-person meetings are at your own risk. These habits reduce common risks for platonic hangouts, mentorship cafes, fitness sessions, and hosted Events on LetMeBuddy.
Before you meet
- Keep logistics in-app until you trust the person.
- Choose a busy public venue; share the pin with a trusted contact.
- Clarify purpose (mentor hour vs hangout vs Event) and time box.
- Agree how session fees and food costs are handled — separately if needed.
During the meetup
- Stay in public spaces for first sessions.
- Leave early if the purpose drifts into romance-for-pay or pressure.
- Do not leave drinks or bags unattended.
- Trust discomfort — you can end the session.
After & reporting
- Report harassment or guideline violations in-app or via support.
- Read Community Guidelines and Child Safety Standards.

FAQ
- Does photo verification mean someone is safe?
- No. Photo verification helps confirm a profile photo looks like a real person. It is not a background check or a guarantee of behaviour.
- What if someone asks for romantic or intimate services?
- That violates Community Guidelines. Decline, leave, and report through in-app tools or support@letmebuddy.com.
- Should I pay a deposit before meeting?
- Be cautious of anyone demanding money outside agreed session norms. Session fees are arranged with your Buddy; LetMeBuddy does not hold session funds. Never send money to “unlock” a meetup.
