Two types of payment
Session fees are paid directly between the customer and Buddy at or before the session. LetMeBuddy does not collect or hold these amounts. Refunds for session fees are a matter between those users unless we explicitly assist with a specific dispute.
Booking Credits are purchased by Buddies on LetMeBuddy via Razorpay. Buddies purchase Booking Credits on LetMeBuddy via Razorpay to accept bookings. One credit is consumed when you accept a booking request. Credit packs, pricing, and welcome credits (if offered) are shown in the app. Booking Credits are platform fees for Buddies only — not session fees and not a customer payment account. If a Buddy cancels after accepting, the consumed credit is not returned. If the customer cancels after the Buddy accepted, the consumed credit is restored to the Buddy.
Session fees & advance payment
- If you paid your Buddy in advance (UPI, cash, or another agreed method), any refund is between you and the Buddy — not through LetMeBuddy.
- Agree on amount, timing, and refund expectations in chat before paying. Keep receipts or UPI references if needed for a dispute.
- LetMeBuddy does not hold session fees in escrow and cannot automatically reverse direct payments between users.
Lateness & session start
Either the customer or Buddy may arrive a little late. Lateness alone does not require cancelling the booking — coordinate in chat and proceed when you can. Cancellation is optional, not mandatory, just because someone is running late.
Customer cancellation (bookings)
- Cancel as early as possible in the app and communicate clearly with your Buddy in chat.
- Because session fees are paid directly to your Buddy, any refund of session fees is between you and the Buddy. LetMeBuddy may help mediate in good faith but does not guarantee a session-fee refund.
- If you cancel after your Buddy already accepted, the Buddy's consumed booking credit is restored to their account.
- Repeated no-shows or abusive cancellations may affect your account under our Community Guidelines.
Buddy cancellation (bookings)
If a Buddy cancels a confirmed booking, they should notify the customer promptly in chat. The customer should not pay a session fee for a cancelled session. Repeated Buddy cancellations may affect Buddy status and visibility.
Booking Credits: One credit is consumed when a Buddy accepts a booking. If the Buddy cancels after accepting, that credit is not returned or refunded.
Refund duration
- Booking Credit packs (unused): Within 7 calendar days of purchase, if no credit from that pack has been consumed, subject to verification.
- Consumed Booking Credits: Not refundable as cash. If a customer cancels after the Buddy accepted, the consumed credit is restored to the Buddy (not reversed to the Buddy's payment method).
- Buddy cancels after accept: Consumed credit is not returned; no cash refund for that acceptance.
- Session fees (customer ↔ Buddy): No fixed platform refund window — refunds are negotiated between customer and Buddy. LetMeBuddy does not hold session funds.
- Failed or duplicate Razorpay charges: Reversed after we confirm with payment records (typically within 5–10 business days once approved).
- Welcome or promotional credits: No cash value; not refundable.
Refund mode
- Booking Credit pack purchases: Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay reversal (UPI, card, net banking, or wallet as used at checkout). Processing may take 5–10 business days depending on banks, UPI networks, or card issuers.
- Session fees: Not processed by LetMeBuddy. Refund mode (cash, UPI, etc.) is agreed between customer and Buddy outside the platform.
- Restored Booking Credits: When a customer cancels after accept, the Buddy receives a credit balance restoration in-app — not a payment reversal.
Booking Credit refunds (detail)
- Unused Booking Credits from a pack may be eligible for refund within 7 days of purchase if no credit from that pack has been consumed, subject to verification.
- Credits already consumed when accepting a booking are generally not refundable, including when a Buddy cancels after accepting. If the customer cancels after accept, the consumed credit is restored to the Buddy (not refunded as cash).
- Failed or duplicate Razorpay charges may be reversed after we confirm with payment records.
- Welcome or promotional credits (including credits granted on Buddy approval) have no cash value and are not refundable.
Disputes
For Booking Credit or platform issues, contact support@letmebuddy.com with your booking ID, purchase reference, timeline, and evidence (chat, receipts, etc.). LetMeBuddy may review in-app records before a final decision. Our decision on Booking Credit refunds does not prevent you from pursuing remedies under applicable consumer law.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a Booking Credit charge with your bank without contacting us first, we may provide transaction and purchase records to the payment processor. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of amounts wrongly reversed, where permitted by law.
